Join us for a very special bird ringing demo by our very own BTO licensed staff member Daniel. Daniel will be gently tagging our local woodland birds for future monitoring. Learn about how to age birds, why we ring them and what their condition tells us about the wider environment. This is a very rare opportunity and due to the type of event we can only offer a limited number of spaces. Please book quickly so as not to miss out.
Following the demonstration our staff will take you on a short walk around our nature reserve where you will have a chance to wander through the haven we have created for wildlife, with open grassland and woodland alongside the River Ashburn. This unique nature reserve is not normally open to the public.
- Please note terrain is steep and uneven in places
- Please ensure you wear sensible footwear
- Bring binoculars and rainwear
- Events may be postponed or cancelled in the event of bad weather
Admission is free but donations are welcome towards our Barn Owl and conservation work.
