Join us for an evening bat walk around our nature reserve to listen for and identify local bat species using bat detectors. Previous species recorded include Common and Soprano pipistrelle, Greater and Lesser horseshoe, Myotis sp., Long-eared bat and Noctule. The walk will be led by a local bat expert and will begin with a 45 minute talk on Bat Ecology. Current walks are socially distanced. If you have your own bat detector, please bring it with you.
- Please note terrain is steep and uneven in places
- Please ensure you wear sensible footwear
- A torch will be required as the walk will finish after dusk.
This event is weather-dependent and may be subject to cancellation at short notice. Admission is free but donations are welcome.
