Supporting the Trust

Do you have something we need?

 

We can use:

 
  • Wild bird food - mainly sacks of black sunflower seeds, also peanuts & plain canary seed
  • Wood for making outdoor nestboxes - sheets of 9 or 12mm tanalised softwood ply and lengths of 25x 50mm tanalised batten
  • A4 and A3 recycled paper and card both coloured and white
  • Padded envelopes
  • Anabat detector
  • Hand held hetrodyne bat detector
  • Waders - for working in the ponds
  • Leaf blower
  • Carpet suitable for the office
  • Metal detector
  • Good quality Barn Owl winter scenes either photographic or illustrative for Christmas card images
  • Wild Barn Owl pellets (we can never have too many)
  • Anyone in the Ashburton area who could occasionally provide temporary lodging for a Barn Owl Trust volunteer, at a reasonable rate
  • Small Plate Compactor
  • Emulsion Paint (pale colour) sufficient to paint an office
  • Bubble wrap
  • Brown Packaging/parcel tape 50mm x 66mm
  • A3 Rotary Trimmer for paper and card
  • New or nearly new wood chisels, particularly wide/rounded
  • Landranger and OS maps of Devon. Particularly Torbay/South Dartmoor area
  • Small marquee (3m x 3m or less)
 

Donations of items on this list help our work and/ or save us money. Over the years we have been given things as diverse as a caravan to use at County Shows to a set of office desks; from a microwave to defrost owl food to garden rakes for cleaning aviaries.

Send your items to us or directly to the collection point by clicking the item for a link – please remember to select the Barn Owl Trust as the beneficiary when you do this.

You can also donate your used tools to help "Tools for Self Reliance" - a charity providing practical help for practical people - they are pleased to except any good quality gardening, DIY, plumbing tools and even sewing machines.
