Dartmoor National Park
The Barn Owl Trust is based in a little wooded valley on the edge of Dartmoor within Dartmoor National Park (DNP). We regularly provide training for DNP's planning officers on Barn Owls and related planning issues.

Ashburton Town
The Barn Owl Trust is based just outside Ashburton, which is a picturesque Dartmoor Stannery town with a wealth of small independent shops (and pubs!). Although the Trust doesn't run a visitor centre if you're coming down this way and need local information visit the town website.

Fowlescombe Farm
Fowlescombe Farm is a wonderful example of how farming and wildlife can co-exist. It's also one of the 60 or so nest sites that the Barn Owl Trust checks every year as part of its population monitoring work. If you'd like to see pictures of Barn Owls at Fowlescombe or find out about farming with wildlife their website is highly recommended.

Pennywell Farm
If you're visiting south Devon with children and fancy a day out, Pennywell Farm is highly recommended. Your children will be able to see, hear and touch a wide range of farm animals and pets. The animals are all extremely well cared for and the information provided is first rate. Pennywell Farm is also a supporter of the Barn Owl Trust - you'll find one of our donation boxes in their shop.

Woodlands Park
A leisure park and caravan park with all weather fun for the family including a falconry centre. The Falconry Centre is set in countryside of outstanding natural beauty with views across the South Hams. The beautifully designed aviaries and weatherings are comfortable homes for a fascinating collection of birds of prey including owls, falcons and kites. Answering the demand for owl knowledge, Woodlands has a new 'Get Wise to Owls' display where the highly experienced Falconer, Geoff Pearson, gives a fascinating insight into the world of owls.
