Environment Agency
The Environment Agency aims to protect the environment through flood risk management, waste regulation, pollution control, air quality management, water quality management, navigation and fisheries.

Natural England
Natural England is the government body with responsibility for nature conservation throughout England. In 1995 they helped the Barn Owl Trust with the cost of printing the first edition of the booklet "Barn Owls on Site - a Guide for Developers and Planners". In 2002 the Barn Owl Trust and English Nature (now Natural England) produced a second edition of the booklet. In 2009 Natural England funded the production of our latest guidance 'Barn Owls and Rural Planning Applications' (downloadable PDF). This will form part of the Biodiversity Toolkit in the Government's Planning Portal website.

Nature on the Map
Nature on the Map is one of Natural England's interactive map sites with a choice of maps including national nature reserves, areas of semi-natural habitat and various kinds of protected sites throughout England.

HM Prison Service
The Prison Service is responsible for managing the second largest government estate after the Ministry of Defence. The HMPS BAP was launched on the 24th January 2005 and the Barn Owl Trust's involvement will involve visiting HMPS land and advising on habitat creation and nest box provision.
